Allright, this one is really good and sometimes users will not know what happened. Just make a screenshot of your desktop by pressing "Print Screen" on your keyboard (sometimes shown as "Prt Scrn"). Now go to Paint and Paste (Ctrl+V). You should now have an image of your desktop. Save the image to your PC and save it as JPEG. You'll now have the file like this: C:/name_of_the_document.bmp.

Now set the image as your background. You're almost done now.

Right-click your desktop and navigate to "Arrange icons by" and uncheck "Show desktop icons". There you have it, the icons on the desktop can not be clicked anymore.

But wait: The taskbar at the bottom is still there? Right-click on it and select Properties. On the Taskbar tab, select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box. Press OK to save the changes.

       How to Undo this???

Right-click on taskbar and select Properties. On the Taskbar tab, select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box. Press OK to save the changes.

Right-click your desktop and navigate to "Arrange icons by" and check "Show desktop icons" then the icons on the desktop can be clicked.

And finally, change the Background image....

Locking a Folder . . .

            Do you worry about privacy or do you maintain some personal files on the office system or at Friends pc, then you must lock that folder. I know many Softwares that most people use to lock their Personal files. But this trick is the safest and locks files or folders without use of any Software's

           Suppose you want to lock the folder rahul in d: which has the path D:\rahul.

In the same drive create a text file and type

ren rahul rahul.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

Now save this text file as loc.bat

Create another text file and type in it

ren rahul.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} rahul

Now save this text file as key.bat
     Now you can see 2 batch files loc and key. Press loc and the folder movies will change to control panel and you cannot view its contents. Press key and you will get back your original folder.
try it out!!!!!!!

Note: It is safe as in case if you loose the key file, you can create it again but the folder name must be correct.
